Vera Freitag
Vera Freitag, Director/DP, was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, and moved to San Francisco in 2001 to study Film at the Academy Of Art University. She graduated 2005 with a BFA in Cinematography and has since shot and directed award winning music videos, commercials, and short films. Her short Sci-Fi film Sound Machine and her short documentary In A Steel Box screened at various International film festivals and are distributed internationally through Ouat Media, a Canadian distribution company. Some of Vera's commercials have aired on national TV and screened at landmark theatres across the US. Vera has won an award for best music video director at the Canadian reality TV show Make It Big. And has since worked for clients such as Capitol Records, Williams-Sonoma, and United Colors of Benetton. Since 2007, Vera is independently contracted as Director for commercial and web video productions at Zephyr Films. She is currently co-writing a feature narrative screenplay called Play In Tune, which she is determined to direct. Since living in Los Angels, Vera has successfully completed the Professional Screenwriting Program at UCLA. Besides working as a Director and DP for various film and video projects, she has analyzed and covered scripts for Gold Circle Films over the past year.
