Ursula Burton


Burton graduated from Yale University with honors, earning degrees in both Theater Studies and English. After directing theater, working as an actor, and producing various films for the company she founded with her sisters, FIVE SISTERS PRODUCTIONS, Burton wrote, directed, and acted in the short social commentary, THE HAPPIEST DAY OF HIS LIFE. The film premiered on MTV's LOGO channel and The LA Times called it "A delightful gender-switch comedy." Burton has worked extensively as an actor. Recently in London, she guest starred on the hit BBC comedy MY FAMILY, played Marilyn Lovell in ITV's MOONSHOT, and starred in a STARGATE ATLANTIS audio drama. In the States, she had recurring roles on both THE OFFICE and THE WAR AT HOME. Her previous theater, film, and television credits include Karen in DINNER WITH FRIENDS, Wanda in THE BABY DANCE, the title role in ANTIGONE, THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, SGT. BILKO, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD, MAFIA!, DEATH OF A SALESWOMAN, DIVINE SECRETS OF THE YA-YA SISTERHOOD, THE ELLEN SHOW, "THE PRACTICE," STRONG MEDICINE, GHOST WHISPERER, and THE WEST WING. She produced and acted in the long running Los Angeles premiere of the musical, A...MY NAME IS ALICE. Under the banner of FIVE SISTERS PRODUCTIONS, she has produced three feature films (in which she has also acted): JUST FRIENDS, TEMPS, and MANNA FROM HEAVEN as well as shot Julia Sweeney's one woman show, LETTING GO OF GOD. Presently, she is delivering the first of a series of commercial spots for Ford.
