Laura Keats has been active in the entertainment industry for more than twenty years. Her company, Keats Entertainment, currently has a full slate of film and television projects in various stages of development and production. A number of her projects are set up at network and cable TV channels, as well as at studios.

THE UNDERDAWGZ -- a project she has developed and on which she serves as Executive Producer -- is slated for production in June of 2008 and will be airing on Animal Planet in the fall. Premiering as a one-hour special, it will be followed by half-hour episodes.

Keats is an executive producer of CAKE, a series that runs on CBS (produced in conjunction with Brookwell-McNamara Entertainment, as well as DIC). She is also producing (in association with Film One) SOCCER DREAMS, a reality series that just began airing on the Fox Sports channel.

Previous to establishing her own banner, Keats was a partner in Go Girl Media, which was responsible for developed and produced pilots for cable television, including: DOGGIE STYLE for Lifetime, THE JACK & JILL EXPERIMENT for Fox Reality, GAGSTERS for Warner Bros, and IT'S JUST A MOVIE for the E! Entertainment network. She served as either Executive Producer or Co-Executive Producer on these productions.

A former actress with both feature film and television credits, Keats turned to the other side of the camera in the 1980s, focusing on directing and producing. She launched her directing and producing career with 22 episodes of the ELECTRIC BLUE series for the Playboy Channel. Noting her work, Showtime asked her to develop an original series with an erotic/romantic theme and the result was the long-running Showtime hit, LOVE STREET which she both executive produced and directed.

Keats is a member of both the Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Women Directors.
